The tree that produces the cupuaçu is called cupuaçuzeiro. This tree can reach 15 meters in height. It is a typical fruit of the region of the Amazonian forest. The bark of this fruit is of hard and smooth consistency. Its color is dark brown, almost black.
This fruit is widely used for the manufacture of juices, ice cream, jellies, wines and spirits.
